Five weekend looks from homegrown brands that will make you ditch your regular fast fashion splurging 👀
A couple of months ago, I found myself in a dire need of that perfect going out look. You know, something that looks edgy but not like I've put in a lot of effort? A little extra but doesn't make it look like I'm too into it? Yeah, you get it. Anyway, skimmed through the regulars for hours to find one, only to discover someone else wear the same piece I thought was my precious find. The good old fast fashion giveaway. Now, the switch to shopping small can seem a little overwhelming. But when you discover local brands with an individualistic approach, good quality and statement pieces all while being mindful, you can't help but take notice.Â
Did the dirty work so you don’t have to, here are 5 scouted pieces from homegrown brands that are gonna make you ‘add to bag’!
Āroka a slow fashion inclusive brand founded by Sweta Agarwal and Karan Ahuja caught my eye because of the space they set out for every individual to find a piece of themselves in the brand. Their thoughtful designs confluence modern art and Indian craftsmanship which gives them a unique edge and identity.
21.12’s pick - Vivian Bandeau Top from their ‘Void’ collection. Who doesn’t like a little bandeau to amp up the regular crop? It works for all body types, has a flaunting silhouette and can be styled in one too many ways. A 10/10 in our opinion!
Â
Label Ankita Jain - This one is making some BOLD moves. If you're looking to race it up and come through with anything but basic, check out Label Ankita Jain. They create pieces to fall in love with your body!
21.12’s pick - Sterling Skirt. Rumour has it, the fashion girls are ditching pants for skirts this season! This draped high slit skirt is marking its place very high on the list. Style it with its complimenting crop or make it look super chic with a clean white tee. Either way, you’re sure to make some heads turn

Polite Society- Coming out of the creative expression of the young founder, Surmai Jain, Polite Society lays out a spread of products you can’t skip through. Their impeccably crafted corsets have been a part of the fashion grocery lists for a while and if you were looking to get one too, you can thank us later.
21.12’s Pick - Jawdrop Pink Dress. I’m not even going deep with this one, power shoulders, flaunting silhouette and PINK. Take my money!
ADK by Avishi Dayal Kalra - This brand is like a breath of fresh air, providing it’s own language and expression to street wear in India. It has carved a niche for itself by creating pieces that speak to the ones seeking individuality. Personally, I was drawn to their unisex pieces that can be effortlessly styled and are something that stays in one’s wardrobe for a while.
21.12’s pick- Jelly Fish Unisex Blazer. In my opinion, blazers can never go wrong and this is my personal favourite. It just ticks all the boxes, its a blazer, duh, its black, its unisex and its so unique. Dress it down with a clean tee and denim or dress it up with it’s matching pair, either way don’t forget to raise your social tolerance cause you’re definitely striking some conversations!
Â
Eurumme - You didn’t think we’d forget accessories. Knocking it out of the park with their ‘more is more’ vibe, Eurumme is a perfect marriage between OTT and Chic. Coming from the philosophy of ‘Imperfect is Beautiful’, their mixed metal stacks, organic shapes and most importantly light weight products have us adding almost everything to cart!
Â
21.12’s pick - Scrunchie Stack of 3 and Halo Choker. Sorry, we couldn’t choose just one. Did we mention we’re obsessing over the mixed metals? How stunning is the stack! Don it with your full glam or a lounge set, it works fabulously for both.
The choker’s giving art. The way it sits on the neck, the shapes, the whole look, its 21/21 ;)

That’s all, folks! Here’s hoping something from the list makes it to your cart while we dig deep to get you some fresh updates. Hold tight, and we’ll see you next month!
